Mr. N. Thiyagarajan is the founder of Elango Genetics Pvt Ltd. He has over 41 years of experience in the automobile industry. Currently he is at the helm of affairs as Director and Promoter of Elango Genetics Pvt Ltd.
Prior to this Mr Thiyagarajan was associated with Tafe Motors and Tractors Ltd. at various positions. After having started his career in 1984 with Eicher Tractors, Mr. Thiyagarajan amassed vast experience in handling various leadership roles at the functional, operational and business consulting levels for an industrial organisation. He retired from Tafe Motors and Tractors Ltd in 2019 and started his entrepreneurial journey by founding Elango Genetics. At Elango Genetics, Mr. Thiyagarajan monitors Administration, Business Operations and Public Relations.
Mrs. T. Varalakshmi is a homemaker turned entrepreneur. Being a homemaker budgeting, finance and crisis management has been her intrinsic qualities. At Elango Genetics, Mrs. Varalakshmi has administrative role, overseeing functions such as Finance, Accounts and Strategy Management Process.
Dr. B.N. Harish completed his MBBS degree in the year 1977 from Bangalore University and post graduated in Microbiology from JIPMER in the year 1982. He has extensive experience in both, diagnostics and research, (India and Abroad) for more than 26 years. Upon completion of MD degree he joined the Dept. of Microbiology, JIPMER - a premier medical institution ranked as one among the best in the country. He was associated with JIPMER for twenty six years holding different positions and retired as Sr. Professor & Head. His research was primarily focused on Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Resistance. His research resulted in a LANCET publication with maximal citations. He has valuable experience in medical research and diagnostics. At Elango Genetics, Dr Harish advices on scientific research operations.
As the President of Elango Genetics Pvt Ltd, Dr Premkumar Arumugam is responsible for leading strategy, managing business operations and strengthening capabilities.
He has an established track record of high-quality collaborations from early to preclinical drug discovery.His leadership and guidance have led to establishment of over 120 screening assays with high reproducibility and sensitivity suits for HTS and SAR programs for targets like GPCRs, Enzymes, Transporters and Ion channels.He has worked with large, mid and small size Pharma, Biotech, Agro and Academic groups on standalone & integrated/collaborative projects.
Prior to joining Elango Genetics, Dr Premkumar worked for more than 14 years at Aragen (formerly known as GVK BIO) as Associate Vice President heading the In vitro Pharmacology and Reagent Generation servicesthat he established and nurtured.
A doctorate in molecular biology, Dr Premkumar is an alumnus of the prestigious Weizmann Institute of Science and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
