As the President of Elango Genetics Pvt Ltd, Dr Premkumar Arumugam is responsible for leading strategy, managing business operations and strengthening capabilities.
He has an established track record of high-quality collaborations from early to preclinical drug discovery.His leadership and guidance have led to establishment of over 120 screening assays with high reproducibility and sensitivity suits for HTS and SAR programs for targets like GPCRs, Enzymes, Transporters and Ion channels.He has worked with large, mid and small size Pharma, Biotech, Agro and Academic groups on standalone & integrated/collaborative projects.
Prior to joining Elango Genetics, Dr Premkumarworked for more than 14 years at Aragen (formerly known as GVK BIO) as Associate Vice President heading the In vitro Pharmacology and Reagent Generation servicesthat he established and nurtured.
A doctorate in molecular biology, Dr Premkumaris an alumnus of the prestigious Weizmann Institute of Science and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
